We’re proud to announce that 350 PPM has been accepted as an official signatory for the internationally-recognised Principles for Responsible Investment.
This demonstrates our commitment and positions us at the heart of a global community seeking to build a more sustainable financial system.
Developed by investors, for investors, the six Principles for Responsible Investment offer a menu of possible actions for incorporating ESG issues into investment practice. In implementing them, signatories contribute to developing a more sustainable global financial system.
We also recognise that applying these Principles may better align investors with the broader objectives of society. As an official signatory, we are committed to:
• Principle 1: We will incorporate ESG issues into investment analysis and decision-making processes.
• Principle 2: We will be active owners and incorporate ESG issues into our ownership policies and practices.
• Principle 3: We will seek appropriate disclosure on ESG issues by the entities in which we invest.
• Principle 4: We will promote acceptance and implementation of the Principles within the investment industry.
• Principle 5: We will work together to enhance our effectiveness in implementing the Principles.
• Principle 6: We will each report on our activities and progress towards implementing the Principles.
In signing the Principles, we publicly commit to adopt and implement them, where consistent with our fiduciary responsibilities. We also commit to evaluate the effectiveness and improve the content of the Principles over time. We believe this will improve our ability to meet commitments to beneficiaries as well as better align our investment activities with the broader interests of society, and we encourage other investors to adopt the Principles.
The PRI has been an essential part of the responsible investment (RI) ecosystem since its establishment in 2006, supporting and encouraging the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks and sustainable investment practices across global markets. As of 2022, there are nearly 5,000 PRI signatories across the world which have committed to sustainable investment strategies representing approximately 36% of global assets under management.
The Principles for Responsible Investment were developed by an international group of institutional investors reflecting the increasing relevance of environmental, social and corporate governance issues to investment practices. The process was convened by the United Nations Secretary-General.

About 350 PPM
350PPM is on a mission to reduce the amount of CO₂ in the atmosphere to 350 parts per million and reduce CO₂e (equivalent greenhouse gases) to similar levels. It operates as a central legal entity whose purpose is funding and assisting breakthrough environmental businesses. As a result, the companies selected for our portfolio are those that can make the biggest impact on reducing the level of CO₂ per USD invested. We operate as an incubator and accelerator participating directly in the development of client companies to support success.
350PPM is currently raising investment funds for expansion and we are in the process of forming a £50m fund for assets under management (AUM), which it hopes will lead to series A rounds for companies we have previously incubated.
If you’d further information on the companies we’re incubating now, please register your interest and follow us on LinkedIn for regular news updates.
