We’re delighted to announce Justin Passfield has joined the team to take on the role of Chief Financial Officer. As 350 gears up for a busy 2015/2016 project programme, Justin’s experience and industry insights will prove invaluable as we continue to build on our clean energy development track record. Justin’s role will be driving 350’s financial engagement with utility-scale power generation projects, complex international deal structures and renewable energy initiatives for our clients.
“Having known and worked with Nick over the last couple of years I am looking forward to joining the 350 team, and helping to realise the substantial pipeline of renewable energy projects which we have around the globe. 2015 has started well, with a number of interesting projects, and looks set to be a busy and exciting year for the company.”
Justin’s experience includes 5 years as FD of Barclays Private Bank, 6 years as UK CFO of ABN AMRO investment bank, and 3 years as Europe CFO of Alliance Bernstein (an asset manager headquartered in New York and listed on the NYSE). Over the last four years Justin’s keen interest in renewable energy has led him to arrange and structure financing for large and small scale solar pv and wind projects, both in the UK and overseas. His addition to the team brings in-depth knowledge of blue chip corporate finance and markets to our established team of carbon abatement specialists, engineering consultants and environmental experts, including Bill Goldie (our China specialist), Arni Helgason (Finance), Francisco Acuna Carter (Accreditation).
350’s Managing Director, Nick Dimmock adds:
“We are obviously very pleased to hire Justin. He’s brings a wealth of experience to our venture. With the additional recent hires at 350, we’ve closed any gaps in our experience and capabilities, from engineering to finance, deal structuring, transaction processing and closure. It’s always very satisfying to hire incredibly capable individuals, attracting this calibre of talent is a strong signal that Solar 350 is entering a period of exceptional traction, expansion and value creation.
Solar 350’s business pipeline is based on agreed transaction structures that will actually eclipse the huge success of Carbon 350 and again, with 350’s capabilities backed up by our major shareholder, Grue Og Hornstrup A/s (the AA Rated Danish Engineering Company) our clients couldn’t really make a better choice of who to deal with. Smart investors should take note – with Justin’s abilities added to a team with our proven track record – Solar 350 is on the runway and cleared for take-off.”
