Global ITMO started with a team in Ghana who knew the land, understood the agriculture and could see the opportunity to do much more with it.
What they needed was investment, environmental agri-tech and the commercial connections to take it further. That’s where we came in, and we’ve now been working together for over 10 months.
The team has access to 91,000 hectares and there is already agricultural infrastructure in place. We’re introducing technologies such as solar irrigation and Eko-Biogas Biodigester, alongside a number of other innovations. Together, these can help extend the farming season from just 2–3 months to 12 months and introduce new, higher-value crops.
There is also the ITMO side of the business. Most of the technologies we’re introducing reduce emissions, creating the potential for additional value through ITMOs alongside the agricultural revenues.
So although Global ITMO is a new company, we’re not starting from scratch. The local expertise, land and much of the infrastructure are already there, and we’re building a commercial model that can be replicated in other areas.
We’re holding an investor call on 15 October at 12:30pm BST to explain the business, where we are now and the opportunity to invest in Global ITMO.
