We have kicked off the first Environmental News Mailer of 2020 with a full round up of news from the 350 PPM portfolio of environmental and renewable energy companies, including Storelectric, developers of utility scale energy storage systems, Waste to Energy Solutions, energy from waste project developers, PAPA ONE (Paris Ageement Project Accelerator) and Plastic Green Power Ltd, which provides energy consultancy for the purpose of commercialising opportunities in the distributed energy markets.
There is some great news from Storelectric with them being named as one of Hello Tomorrow’s Deep Tech Pioneers. A wonderful achievement for them and an acknowledgement, that Storelectric’s technologies are substantial contributors to the fight against climate change and will help to achieve the challenges of the Paris Accord. WES (Waste to Energy Solutions) are on target to achieve financial close on their first project and PAPA ONE have launched a new video, detailing who they are and the work they do in Mexico to increase electricity through renewable means. PGP, Plastic Green Power are also progressing well with their financial advisory team to coordinate the process and supporting documents needed to secure the required project finance initial raise for the first round of projects totalling £55m.
We also have a round up of news from the environmental sector and have selected a number of articles we think will interest you. We have included links to an article in the Daily Mail with Mark Carney’s views on climate change and what it means for business. As well as, an interesting article from City A.M about investors and energy storage and A Guardian article covering the National Trust’s pledge to plant 20 million trees over the next decade. Finally we have linked to an article from Business Green detailing how the renewables sector has secured a boost from the National Grid’s pension scheme.
